I read the book via patreon。Similarly to the first book its dialogue， characters， and fight scenes are its strong suite。 But reading this had me feeling like I was reading a webnovel， events progress very slowly and Rei is getting OP in an outlandish fashion。 Additionally， some of the plot drivers were just ridiculous， and I just couldn't see a world where they made sense。 I'll outline that below in the spoilers。（view spoiler）[It worries me that we are 2，000 pages in and Rei is only a little pas I read the book via patreon。Similarly to the first book its dialogue， characters， and fight scenes are its strong suite。 But reading this had me feeling like I was reading a webnovel， events progress very slowly and Rei is getting OP in an outlandish fashion。 Additionally， some of the plot drivers were just ridiculous， and I just couldn't see a world where they made sense。 I'll outline that below in the spoilers。（view spoiler）[It worries me that we are 2，000 pages in and Rei is only a little past halfway in his first year。 Him progressing really fast is one of the points of the story， it having an OP MC。 But still， the time progression to character progression feels out of wack。 Some of the moves Central pulled in this book also didn't make any sense。 The big one being their interruption of Aria and Rei's Finals Match。 It was a publicly televised scene where the only purpose seems to be to traumatize Rei since he was immobilized and just getting slapped by some OP dummies。 Where's the benefit in that？ They want him to get stronger？ And so they paralyze him and just let training dummies hit him in a public event？ Its massively illogical。 Rei's family， especially his sister was a plot line I really wanted to be explored more in this book。 And it was barely present， appearing near the start and then not again till the end。 That's a shame because its very interesting and him interacting with his sister， parents， and grandfather is bound to be the highlight of the next book。 I was actually hoping she'd be a fraternal twin， so they'd be in the same year of the Institute。 Given his growth， her being older works better。 Though since she is only 1 year older she can't possibly have any memories of him as a baby。（hide spoiler）] 。。。more
